"Up until May 2025, I considered myself fit and healthy. I ran daily and had done so for many years - running was my go-to exercise and a big part of my life. Then I suffered a knee injury that stopped me in my tracks. For several months, I felt lost, unsure what type of exercise would suit me since running had always been my default.

That's when I came across The Training Collective, and it completely changed my outlook on fitness. I wandered in one day for a look around, started chatting with Chris, and before I knew it, I was signing up. That marked the beginning of a new journey - learning to get comfortable with different forms of exercise I'd never considered before.

I was surprised to discover how weak I was in certain areas. It's easy to think you're fit when you run regularly, but without incorporating other forms of training - especially strength work - there are big gaps. Committing to personal training sessions with Chris has been transformative. I've learned so much, and now I feel confident training on my own. I can perform a wide range of strength exercises for my upper body, arms, and legs, which has even allowed me to bring running back into my routine.

I also love attending the group classes at The Training Collective. They're inclusive, supportive, and suitable for all fitness levels. Chris is an exceptional PT and coach - his sessions are engaging, with clear instruction and constant attention to form, ensuring everyone gets the most from each workout.

I've been a member nearly a year and can honestly say I'm so pleased to have found The Training Collective. After moving up to the area, the one thing that was missing for me was a decent local gym with classes in a nice environment that didn't mean me driving up and down to Penrith.

Chris and Kirsty and the whole team are so helpful and friendly, it really is like an extended family. The classes are great and I appreciate the variety, from circuits style, spinning to Pilates. I also love that there is an occasional fun run for all abilities with chat and snacks afterwards.

The decor is lovely and it is well kept and spotless. Everyone is friendly and supportive and I've even got to know a few more people locally. I'm far from the youngest member, but that doesn't matter, everyone is super welcoming.

I have been going to The Training Collective for nearly a year now. I joined my friends on some PT sessions and thought I would hate it. I had never been one for going to the gym before, I didn't know what I was doing and was always scared of being judged!

But I was wrong I loved my PT sessions, Chris helped me to gain confidence in the gym and encouraged me to push myself to do more. After a month of PT sessions I could see and feel a difference so decided to become a member so I could enjoy the wide variety of classes and get fitter and healthier.

I LOVE the classes especially the morning ones it's a great way to start my day. I try and do at least 4 a week if I can. I am so grateful to Chris and Kirsty for creating such a friendly, inclusive, non judgemental gym space. They have built a really lovely business with a real sense of community.

Signing up to PT with Chris three times a week has genuinely been one of the best things I've ever done for myself. It sets me up for the day, keeps me consistent, and has had such a positive impact on my overall wellbeing.

The gym has such a friendly, welcoming vibe, it never feels intimidating, and we always have a good laugh too. I'd never push myself the way I do with Chris if I was training alone. He knows exactly how to get the best out of our sessions, and it's incredible to see how far I've come from when I first started!

Oh, and the protein shakes? 10/10. Worth turning up for those alone.
